This is the book based on the BBC program "You Are What You Eat". I feel so much better since getting this book and opening up my eyes to better choices in my diet. It has opened my eyes to the simple fact that you really are what you eat.so do something about it.
It's like having Gillian with you as you read and absorb her advice on how to eat better. You will start to appreciate fruits and vegetables and what they do for you. The book is very good and has all the bases covered.
It's that easy.put down the doughnut and get off your duff and start enjoying life again. I found it to be sound and helpful advice in choosing what foods to actually eat for maximum results. I don't follow all the advice but I certainly have stepped up on eating better with better choices because of this book.
It really does make a difference. I now look for different fruits and vegetables when I grocery shop just to try something completely different.
Greatly informative in a way that other books like it don't go into. My tongue is suddenly much more interesting.
this book is life changing. You learn so much. I recommend it to everyone who wants to be healthy.
I followed Gillians diet "to the letter" in a bid to cure my constipation and just to get overall healthy. My indigestion also left, no more purple pill, no more rolaids. I didn't expect migraines that I have had since I was 5 to disappear. I was 42 at the time I began the diet, it has been a year and a half and NOT ONE MIGRAINE. I recommend this to everyone, don't wait until you have all kinds of health problems to become a believer. This is the most informative woman I have come accross that doesn't muddle things up with her personal believes about animals or saving whales, she just tells you what food does for your body or against it and she doesn't tell you in language you wont understand.
While the physical beauty is high in this book- glossy pages, bright colors, and bold fonts- the rest of the book falls flat. If you, like most of us, want something that is really going to help you change your lifestyle. The author tricks you by acting and writing about how 'easy' it is to eat clean, but then goes into a thousand different things that are wrong with your feces and your tongue, and all the specialty ingredients that you need to buy to make it better. If you are into hardcore rules to your eating, and weird detox diets, on top of strange eating, then buy this. Skip this. This book is fussy, and completely unapproachable.
